Nutritional Guidance 

FitFuture partners with healthcare professionals and nutritionists to offer nutritional classes for families to take. Ask about educational classes at your local school! Click the links below to find local and government resources for healthy food options. 

Outdoor Activities 

Outdoor Activities and Ideas to get children active and outside! We encourage families to be involved and do outdoor activities, such as walking in the park and hiking. Visit your local State Park for more information.

Community Involvement

Volunteers have come together to put together easy-to-read flyers and posters with easy, affordable, and healthy meal plans for families. Look for these at your local school! Ask your School Nutrition Director for these resources. Join the local YMCA for affordable family exercise experiences. Another great option is to join your local Boys and Girls Club for an active after-school program. 

Activity

What can you do to encourage activitiy? Less screen time, more time outside! Encourage playing outside, building forts, playing games with siblings and friends. Sports are a great option, as well!

Resources

FitFuture partners with Medicaid and the community to hold food drives that provide healthier food options, as well as an allowance for healthier groceries that qualify. 

Family involvement

FitFuture encourages families to do activities together. Walking, visiting parks, hiking, swimming, etc. are all great ideas to increase activity, improve health, and strengthen the family bond! We also encourage families to eat meals together with the goal of parents setting an example for the younger children.
